Art Jakarta Gardens opened at Hutan Kota by Plataran, Jakarta, from 22–27 April 2025, marking the fourth edition of the open-air art fair. The event presented 25 galleries from various cities across Indonesia, reaffirming its distinctive format that merged curated contemporary art presentations with an urban garden landscape in the heart of the city.
The fair was inaugurated by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Fadli Zon, alongside Deputy Minister of Culture Giring Ganesha, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar, and Head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office Andhika Permata, and was attended by key figures from the cultural and business sectors. Supported by Lead Partners Bibit, Treasury, and BCA, as well as the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Creative Economy as Strategic Partners, Art Jakarta Gardens strengthened cross-sector collaboration in fostering a sustainable art ecosystem.
A central highlight of the fair was the Sculpture Garden, which showcased diverse approaches to contemporary sculpture through works by artists including King Saladeen, Agugn and Sekar Puti, Yunizar, Iwan Suastika, Dzikra A.N., and Yani Mariani. Special Presentations further enriched the experience through collaborations between partners and artists, including Bibit with Abenk Alter, Treasury with Arkiv Vilmansa, and BCA’s debut installation, myBCA Space.
In addition to visual art, Art Jakarta Gardens presented an expanded Public Programme featuring music and performance, supported by the Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation in collaboration with RURUradio Lounge. As the art landscape continued to evolve, the fair demonstrated how contemporary art could remain both responsive and enduring within an open, inclusive, and nature-driven setting.
